DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - Proposed budget cuts by the U-S Defense Department could mean the loss of some jobs at the 148th Fighter Wing of the Minnesota Air National Guard in Duluth. Major Audra Flanagan says the cuts would result from a mission change that needs to be approved by Congress before it could go into effect. Major Flanagan could not confirm the nature of the mission change or how many jobs would be lost at the Duluth base . Meanwhile, the "Active Association" designation for the 148th continues to progress and will eventually result in the addition of some active duty Air Force personnel to the Air Guard base.
