(St. Paul, MN)  --  The Minnesota National Guard has a new leader.  Major General Richard Nash became adjutant general at a swearing-in ceremony in the Capitol Rotunda this morning with Governor Pawlenty officiating. Nash returned earlier this year from a deployment with his 34th Infantry "Red Bull" division, commanding multinational forces in southern Iraq. He takes over from former Adjutant General Larry Shellito [[ SHELL-ih-toe ]] as head of the nation's fifth-largest Guard, with more than 14-thousand troops.
